Description This "Diary of Lightkeeper" at Chantry Island records the time of extinguishing and lighting the light, weather, quantity of oil used, repairs undertaken and other remarks from 1937-1938. Inside the front cover is a list of items written beneath the heading "Required for 1939." It is believed to have been completed by Clayton Knechtel, the 5th lighthouse keeper on Chantry Island, serving from 1937 to 1941.
