|Title||1932 letters from Carl Heilig to Elizabeth Hillmer|
|Dates of Creation||January - June 1932|
This folder consists of 35 letters, many with postage stamped and postmarked envelopes, (part of file 2 in series 2 of the Robert Benjamin Hillmer family fonds) written by Carl Heilig to Miss Elizabeth Hillmer in 1932.
These are love letters from Carl to Elizabeth who married each other on March 11, 1932. Most of the letters are written from Carl in Hamilton to Elizabeth in Niagara Falls. Letters were continued to be addressed to "Miss E. Hillmer" in Niagara Falls after their marriage (perhaps due to Elizabeth's desire to complete her teaching for the year).
Topics covered include personal feelings; marriage plans; married life; Elizabeth's teaching and impact of marriage (.076); Carl's work; and preparing a home; purchasing a house at 789 Beach Blvd.
