Pasted on inside front cover is the following "I the undersigned ... do hereby ... transfer, assign and set over to and unto Thomas Dixon of Walkerton the annexed book of accounts and all the debts, claims and demands therein mentioned or referred to ... this 18th day of July 1893" signed E.A. Adams, witnessed by W.A. Perdue [Edward Adams? and William Perdue? who are both listed as retail grocers in Walkerton on the 1891 census.]
