This book is a compilation of interviews conducted by Grade Eight students at the Bruce Township Central School, a project spear-headed by the Township of Bruce Historical Society. During the winter of 1985-1986, the Township of Bruce Historical Society approached Bruce Township Central School to enlist the aid of Grade Eight students in conducting a Memory Day. The objective was to record and preserve the memories of senior citizens who had lived within the Township during the early years of the twentieth century and then to publish these memories in a book. Photocopy of Memoirs of Lauretta Collins Mills, an historian, genealogist, teacher, quilter, rug hooker, mother, wife and grandmother. The Memoir records her recollections of the Collins, Guest, Campbell and Mills families of Bruce County from the 1850s to the 1950s. Parts of the memoir were published in Metroland Newspaper in the 1980s when Lauretta and her husband, Morley Francis Mills, wrote a weekly column for the Georgetown Independent.
