|Description||A cookie jar in the shape of a pot belly stove. The body is brown in colour and has a red window at the front and a green/blue coloured lid. The lid is removable and has a round knob at the top. The cookie jar has a high gloss glaze throughout. There is a red and gold sticker on the bottom that reads " Royal Canadian Art Pottery Southampton, Ontario.".|
The cookie jar originally belonged to the Tedford family of Arran Township in Bruce County. It was made in Southampton ca. 1950-1960 by Southampton Art Pottery. The cookie jar was pre-molded, painted, and glazed before it was fired.
