Description

This account book from the treasurers of Bruce County contains entries reflecting financial transaction in the years 1867-1880. Entries consist of the date, a name and/or description, and the amount with entries on the left side labelled "Dr" and on the right labelled "Cr".

Some examples of descriptions on the "Dr" pages include:

Throughout the book there are a few pages which appear to be unrelated to County business, including one page with the heading "Household", and one page spread which lists items under the headings "Parlour furniture", "Dining room", "Front room", and "Hall" and their costs.
