This folder is part of Peter Schmalz fonds, series 2, file 7 (Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation related documents - Potawatomi among the Saugeen and Cape Croker) This folder contains a photocopy of material copied from Public Archives Canada RG10, Vol. 2791, File 156, 610, Part 7, consisting of government correspondence concerning the "Potawatomi Indians." Also includes retainer agreement / contract between Canada and Ashton Ray Douglas (London) re: his representation of certain Indians who claim to be entitled to share in the distribution of funds to Pottawatomies by the U.S.A. Some documents have yellow post-it notes with handwritten notes made by Dr. Peter Schmalz. |
