Description |
A bookmark that advertised the business of "H. McLaren, Jr., Hardware, Stoves, Seeds, in Port Elgin, Ontario." Agent for Jewel Stoves and Ranges with steel ovens. Canada's Greatest Stove, The Grand Jewel, manufactured only by the Burrow, Stewart & Milne Co., Limited, Hamilton, Ont. Dated 1898. The reverse side of the bookmark is a colourful drawing of a person wearing a large brim pink hat with plumes, a yellow top with wide white colour, framed with wheat heads on a blue patterned background. "Port Elgin 1898" appears above the person. |
