Description |
These pieces of correspondence were sent to the treasurer of Bruce County, Norman Robertson, in the period of 1898 to 1902. Each letter or card references the existence of a cheese factory on Lot 21 Concession 5 E. in the Township of Eastnor. The three pieces of correspondence include: - A letter from A. Chisholm, dated April 5th of 1898, references the lack of a proper description for this lot in the collector's roll and brings attention to there being a cheese factory on the lot which affects the way in which the lot can be treated for tax purposes. - A postcard, dated September 28th of 1900, from Charles W.W. Dalton, clerk of Eastnor Township. This correspondence mentions that there was at the time an idle cheese factory on the lot in question. There is also a reference to Lot 3 of Concession 1 E., and the owner having died. - A postcard from Charles Dalton, dated October 8th of 1902, also refers to the lot containing the cheese factory being placed on the collector's roll. |
