These photocopied pages are part of Peter Schmalz fonds, series 2, file 7 (Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation related documents - Potawatomi among the Saugeen and Cape Croker). These pages were photocopied for research purposes by Public Archives of Canada (now Library and Archives Canada), with call number RG 10, vol. 416, on July 5, 1971. This schedule lists "authorized occupants of lands belonging to the Ojibway Band of Indians in the Cape Croker Reserve, Saugeen Peninsula, Township of Albemarle" and includes the following headings: Concession, Lot, How long resident on lot, Occupant's Nationality, Where Born, Members of his or her Family; Ages of its various Members; quantity of land cleared and fenced; and Remarks as to education, character occupation, habits of life, &c., of Heads and Members of Family. A handwritten note on p. 1 indicates "Totals Pot [Pottawatomi] 125, Oh 126 = 251" |
