Evans came to Canada from England as a child to live and work on a farm near Cargill, Ontario and eventually enlisted with the 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion to fight in the First World War. Evans was reported missing in France in September 1916. Incudes excerpts from letters written by Robert Evans, and correspondence received by his sister Nellie Parker. |
