Description

This folder consists of 1911 certificates for lands sold for taxes completed by the Bruce County treasurer and related documents including land assignments and "Searches made prior to issuing tax deed". The certificates identify the purchaser, purchase price, and legal property description. Most certificates also list the purchaser's town or village of residence, and some list their occupation or title.

A small number of the certificates are under Municipal Corporations.

Most certificates have been stamped with "Tax deed issued, No __" on top of the certificate.
