File 1 of series 2, sous-fonds 2 (Huron Township finance and accounting records) of the Township of Huron-Kinloss fonds consists of Collector's Rolls, also known as Taxation Rolls or Tax Collection Rolls, generally containing information about the taxes payable in relation to properties in the former Township of Kinloss. Some of these rolls, as well as Combined Assessment & Collector's Rolls ("A&C"), also include information about the assessed value of properties as well as taxes payable.

Provenance

Ownership of the records dated 1909 to 1949 remains with the Township of Huron-Kinloss. Records dated in the 1850s sand 1860s were provided to the Museum by the University of Western Ontario Libraries.
