Description |
This Certificate of Service in the Great European War was presented to Private David Stewart Finlayson, known as "Stewart." His photograph is taped to the certificate, such that it shows through the oval opening above the caption "He served his country". The colourful certificate includes images of a portrait of King George V, battleship, mounted soldier, beaver, rifles, swords and field guns. Information inscribed on the Certificate includes "Pte. David Stewart Finlayson. Enlisted at Kincardine Ont. Feb. 10, 1916, in the 160 Bruce Battalion C.E.F." |
