Description |
These letters and informative records consist of correspondence between the Port Elgin Co-operative and the United Co-operatives of Ontario. 2 calendar pages titled "Your Co-op Calendar" for "Area 6 / Port Elgin Co-op" for the months of December 1955 and January 1956. The calendars have UCO meetings and information in blue ink and the Port Elgin Co-op has meetings and information in purple ink. 1 application titled "Short Course Grants" dated 1948 to 1949. The application is for two grants; the O.A.C. and Queen's University. The application portion is not filled out. 2 letters on "The Co-operative Union of Ontario" letterhead. The first one is dated March 11, 1957 and discusses a debenture issue with Alex Miller. The second is dated November 4, 1957 and asking for payment from Clarence Humphrey. 2 letters on "United Co-operatives of Ontario" letterhead. The first letter dated May 22, 1957 is addressed to "all co-op managers" and discusses a pricing program for agricultural chemicals. The second letter is addressed to A. McKenzie and dated February 4, 1949 about refrigerated display cases. 1 "Special expenditure authorization request form" requested by Alex Miller on April 18, 1957 and approved by the manager, area supervision and local division on April 30, 1957. 1 "customer's copy" receipt dated July 2, 1957 for $100 for "moving C. Humphrey / from Comber to / Port Elgin". 1 two page letter from the "Co-operative Life Insurance Company" to the secretary Harold Sutherland regarding a large loan. This letter is dated April 16, 1957. |
