A bound, printed copy of the debates of the House of Commons of the Dominion of Canada during the 4th session, 6th Parliament. It comprises the period between March 27, 1890 to May 16, 1890. The book contains transcriptions of all debates during this period. Includes lists of years and nays throughout, and there is an index at the back. On April 22, 1890 , West Bruce MP James Rowand gave a speech about Experimental Farms which can be read on page 3798 of Volume 2. |
Provenance |
The original owner of these books is believed to be James Rowand who was elected to the House of Commons in 1887 and served as the MP of West Bruce under the Liberal banner for eight years. The books were discovered in the home formerly owned by James Rowand, Lot 18, RWSR Saugeen Township. |
