Description |
The front side of this postcard features two men on opposite sides of a table. There is food, glasses, and bottles on the table. The man on the left is wearing a kilt, jacket and hat. His left foot is on the table and his right foot is on a chair. His right hand is holding a glass while his left hand is grasping the other man's left hand. The man on right is wearing plaid pants, jacket and hat. His right foot is on the table and his left foot is on a chair. His right hand is holding a glass while his left hand is grasping the other man's left hand. Written on reverse, "Stratford, Dec. 23, 1909." The handwritten message includes mention of returning home, visiting numerous people, and sending the addressee a paper as well as showing affection to the addressee. Addressee reads, "Mr. Thos McIntosh Jr., Glamis P.O., Ontario." The message is signed "C.A.D.". There is a green one cent Canadian postage stamp in the top right corner. There is a post office cancellation for Stratford, Ont., dated Dec 24, 1909 (to the left of the postage stamp). |
