Scan is a quarterly publication of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority. According to the article "New venture in communications" in Vol. 1, No. 1, September 1972, "In response to this growing demand for greater public awareness of and participation in the activities of the Conservation Authority, the Public Relations Advisory Board of the Saugeen Authority, under chairman Karl Wilken is pleased to release its first issue of SCAN" The series of newsletters run from 1972-1976. Inserted in the back is the July 1982 issue of The Saugeen Sentinel, a special Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority Watershed Plan publication; as well as a small publication explaining the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation. Inserted in the front is a loose page on Bruce County Public Library letterhead with an index for the SCAN newsletters held by them.
