Book was used as a ledger and a journal capturing day-to-day activities on the Arkell farm, Lot 7, Concession 8, and Lot 7, Concession 9 Culross Township. Ledger documents transactions with headings including expenses paid out, expenses received, expenses in preparation, brought forward, sent in parcel, Herbert, Helen, Mother, Father, and horse. Entries are presumably written by Elizabeth Arkell (nee Inglis). Journal entries start on April 16, 1936 and topics include agriculture, crops, travel, weather, family, domestic life, school, and church. Several pages are missing. |
