For more information about the Archives' approach to language used in transcripts and descriptions of historical records, see BCM&CC's Descriptive Language Statement] This scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs and notes, generally created between 1960 and 1964, concerning the history and events of the former Township of Carrick, which later formed part of the Municipality of South Bruce. It also contains handwritten notes made by Bruce Krug about local history discussions following visits with local residents, including: Mabel and David Lillico, June 1953 Walter Chisholm, June 1953 Father Lehnard, August 1953 Joe Zang, Spring 1955 Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman, and their son Roy, June 1958 Bruce Krug letter to Leo Neubecker letter, March 1959 Leo Neubecker letter to Bruce Krug, March 1959 Leo Neubecker letter to Krug, July 1960 Leo Neubecker, July 1960 Original photographs include: Page 88: "(Wencelass (Wieger or Weiger) father -in-law of Stephen Neubecker, a pioneer around Formosa...") Topics of articles and interviews include a number of references to the murder of Stephen Neubecker and subsequent hanging of John Haag, Bruce murder cases in early days, purchase of Mildmay printery, and a series of historical articles under column heading "Mildmay & Carrick Today", including newspaper photographs.
