From the introduction: "I have tried to honour the Bechtel family in every way possible. And have written this in Memory of Doctor & Reverend Jacob Bechtel and if anyone will find misgiving by what is written it is unintended and my apologies. In order to fill in and make it readable some fiction had to be used, using the role of Margaretha Christina, his wife".
