Description |
This nautical chart features the title "Lake Huron, Georgian Bay" and has the identification number 2201 along the bottom right corner. This map is of Georgian Bay and the surrounding area. The area covered on this map includes Lake Huron in the southwest, Bay of Islands in the northwest, the French River in the northeast and Wasaga Beach in the southeast. All of the islands and land that fall within this range are included on this map. Towns and harbours are labelled. Water is shown in white and blue while land is shown in yellow. Soundings in fathoms. As a nautical chart, this item generally portrays water depth, hazards, aids to navigation, features along the shoreline and the seafloor, as well as man-made and natural features of the area. Below the title is the statement "compiled by the Canadian Hydrographic Service from surveys to 1968." Also included on this map are other statements and charts. These statements include "caution" and "warning" notes. There is a conversion table included as well as a graph showing the monthly mean water level for Collingwood from 1916 to 1969.
