Description |
This nautical chart "Lake Huron, Clapperton Island to Meldrum Bay" is identified as sheet #2287 on the bottom right corner. Below the title, the chart indicates that it was "surveyed by Staff Commander J.G. Boulton, R.N., Mr. W.J. Stewart and assistants, 1887-8." Published by the Canadian Hydrographic Service. It also states that soundings are in fathoms. Along the bottom edge are listed six previous edition dates, with this item identified as new edition February 22, 1946. Reprinted March 31, 1948. Along the bottom left corner edge there is a date stamp "Small corrections ... Jun 18 '51." The area covered on this map includes Lake Huron between Meldrum Bay in the south and Lauzon Lake in north. Clapperton Island is the most eastern point on this map. The islands within this range are all included on this map. There are two inset maps included on this chart.
