Admin/Biographical History |
The Solway 4-H Clubs operated in the area of Solway within the former Brant Township (currently the municipality of Brockton). The Boys and Girls Clubs began in Brant in 1921, becoming 4-H clubs in 1952. In 1935 the Homemaking Clubs were introduced by the Women's Institute. Homemaking achievement days were held in conjunction with the livestock judging days. As of 1979 boys began joining homemaking clubs. Gateman, Laura M., editor.
