A2020.058.018.001: Telegram sent to W.R. Tomlinson on May 25, 1937 during his stay in England. Telegram was received by the Western Union Cablegram and reads, "Shirley fine letters received wrote gore. Mother". A2020.058.018.002: Postcard depicting a colour illustration of the Cunard White Star R.M.S. Antonia. Postcard is addressed to Shirley Tomlinson from W. R. Tomlinson and Lucile Tomlinson, and is post marked April 30, 1937. A2020.058.018.003: Postcard depicting an image of the Scottish American War memorial in Edinburgh upon a blue, green, and yellow tartan background. Postcard is addressed to Mrs Colin Campbell from Lucile Tomlinson, and is dated June 1, 1937. The top left corner of the postcard has been removed. A2020.058.018.004: Photograph postcard featuring Piccadilly Circus and the Eros statue in London. Postcard is addressed to Shirley Tomlinson from W. R. Tomlinson and Lucile Tomlinson, and post marked June 7, 1937. The top left corner of the postcard has been removed. These items belonged to Mr. William Rae Tomlinson, who was a Member of Parliament for Bruce, and his wife Lucile Willetta (Peers) Tomlinson (nee: Peers), of Port Elgin and Southampton, who accumulated these in relation to their attendance at the Coronation of King George VI in 1937. |
