These letter books are part of the Peter Schmalz fonds, series 6, file 3 (Walkerton history resources - Original records)

These three volumes contain letters copied between 1873-1878 and 1886-1890 in the course of Durham lawyer P. Ferguson's law practice. They record his records his business dealings and legal matters he addressed. Each contains an index of names of people to whom letters were addressed.
