Description |
This folder contains 35 mm colour slides falling under the notation "Box 2", collected by the Bruce County Historical Society. Each slide is numbered by hand, with a short description. The slides are by two manufacturers: either Kodak or an unidentified maker. The slides are mostly dated by machine; the years printed or embossed are 1964, 1967, 1979, 1980 and 1993. An included index of four pages is titled "Port Elgin, Then and Now; photos by J.L. Thornburn". The index contains 99 entries, from "1. [blank]" to "99. Harbour and Marina". Variations are noted: -- The index descriptions are more complete than the descriptions written on the slides. -- The slides, as numbered, are not precisely in the order as numbered in the index. -- Some slide descriptions do not match the index descriptions.
