The family of Lieutenant William Clark Ostic kept this item in the foot locker which belonged to him and which he used during his service in the First World War. His foot locker and its contents were donated to the BCM&CC in 2017. Ostic was born December 12, 1887 in Walkerton, Ontario. He served with the 4th Battalion Canadian Infantry and was killed in action on August 8, 1918. |
