This videocassette is labelled "Bruce Central School, Class of 1974 (45 min.)". The videocassette is wrapped in paper, printed "Graduating Class of 1974" and bearing a "School History" of four paragraphs, reading in part, "On July 29, 2000 most of the students of the 1974 graduating class of Bruce Central met at Les Ribey's, on the 2nd concession of Bruce Township". School History, taken from the back of the videocassette: On January 1, 1950 the former school sections of Bruce Township ceased to exist and the Bruce Township Area School Board came into existence and operated the school system. By January 11, 1965 all classes were moved into the new Bruce Central School with an enrolment of 247. The first Principal was Mr. Doug Wrightson. In 1969 the Bruce County Board of Education took over the schools in Bruce County. On July 29, 2000 most of the students of the 1974 Graduating Class of Bruce Central met at Les Ribey's, on the 2nd Concession of Bruce Township. Everyone had an enjoyable day of visiting with old friends and their families. |
