Description

This item is part of series 2, file 2 (Events and tournaments - Anniversary events) of the Southampton Tennis Club fonds.

These reproduction photographs include:

a) 9 prints of scanned newspaper clippings, 1955-1977;
b) "Who's this little guy" with tennis racquet & soother;
c) Black & white mage of tennis players holding trophies;
d) Mixing concrete;
e) Upper Courts Net Posts - showing welding seam when tops had to be extended when installed at a height too low for regulation play.

These reproduction photographs formed part of a display of approximately 115 reproduction photographs gathered from members and arranged with captions on display for the 50th anniversary events of the Southampton Tennis club.
