Description

These are five display boards made for Port Elgin's 2006 Pumpkinfest. The year was the 20th anniversary of Pumpkinfest. The display boards are laminated posters mounted on foamcore board. They have a mix of text, graphic designs, and photographs, both in colour and in black and white. Each display has the logo of the BCM&CC in the upper right corner.

Boards are labelled A2006.193.001A to E. Headers for each poster include:

A) "Then and Now," "20 Years of Growing," "Giant Pumpkin Growing Dates back to 1893," "High-Tech Advancements," "Giant Pumpkin Sculptures," "World Records Broken at Port Elgin Pumpkinfest," "The King of the Growers," "The International Winners," Harvest Booth."

B) "The Mascots," "Craft Show and Sale," "Baking Contest," "Quilt Raffle," "Volunteers Make it Happen," "Community Involvement, "Celebrity Seed Spitting."

C) "General History of the Cinderella Carriage Antique and Classic Car Show," "Some of the unique Cars that have made an Appearance, "Chocolate Trophies and Personalized License Plates, "The Shuttle Bus," "Pumpkinfest Wheels."

D) "Awards...Awards for Port Elgin Pumpkinfest," "The Port Elgin Beach," Secret Field of Dreams," "Non-Profit Organizations," "The Infamous Ailsa Craig Challenge," "Adult Fun and Tournaments."

E) "Spook in the Cornfield," "Haunted House."
