Canada Sews was founded by Lee-Anne Moore-Thibert in April 2020. It is a volunteer run Canada-wide group that provides essential and front-line workers with fabric face masks, scrub caps, and ear-saving headbands in response to the shortages of medical masks and other personal protective equipment during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The project started on Facebook as a national group, but later divided into 35 regional groups, with over 8,000 volunteers across eight provinces. |
