Description |
This is an enlarged reproduction map showing Greenock Township, Bruce County and was originally featured in the "Illustrated Historical Atlas of the Counties of Grey & Bruce Ont., Compiled, Drawn and Published from Personal Examinations and Surveys by H. Belden & Co., Toronto, 1880." The map features the township's concession and lot numbers, location of the town plots Paisley, Pinkerton, Enniskillen and Riversdale (without town lots numbered). A section of this map is labelled "swamp land." Additional hamlets, villages, lakes and rivers are also identified. Select names are printed on several lots throughout the township. The locations of schools and churches are identified on the map through the use of church and school building icons. Post offices, stores and mills are also labelled. A small section of The Wellington, Grey and Bruce Railway line is seen near the town plot of Paisley. The reproduction map has been mounted on plywood. |
