Description

In this affidavit, five men of the village of Lucknow, including Thomas Harris and Samuel Wilson, swear "That I well know St. Peter's Church in the village of Lucknow ... that workmen have lately been employed in the erection or repair of the same. The work was carried on in the months of May, June, July, August and September ... I frequently saw the building during that time and to my certain knowledge the said work was fully and absolutely completed and the last stroke put thereto prior to the thirtieth day of September last. I well know Mrs. R. West of the said village, her interest in the premises on which the said church is erected is as follows: The building of the stave foundation under said Church which was completed in the month of May last."
