This scrapbook consists of flyers, correspondence, planning notes, executive lists, newspaper clippings and photographs concerning the White Cloud Chapter I.O.D.E. It was originally organized in a gold binder, now divided into folders. It was compiled by a member of the executive of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire White Cloud Chapter, Wiarton. The documents reflect some of the activities of the White Cloud Chapter IODE from 1996-2002 (although the title on the original binder was 1996-2006, there are only documents up to 2002), including: a) Executive and membership lists; b) Fundraising and donations to Gateway Haven, Grey-Bruce; Women's Centre, Amabel Hepworth Public School, Peninsula; Shores school, and Amabel Sauble Public School; c) Quilt raffles and quilting bees; d) Strawberry Festivals; e) Home tours; f) Canadian Unity day; g) IODE "Canada's Premier Women's Organization" pamphlet; h) "Vi's 90th birthday celebration" (Viola Bonnell); i) White Cloud Chapter 50th Anniversary luncheon documents / photograph; |

The items within this fonds were created and/or collected by various members of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, White Cloud Chapter, Wiarton, over the years. Members provided them to Heide Arnold as the Chapter's Archivist. She kept them in her home until the club disbanded in 2012. |
