This file consists of quarterly schedules of return of convictions for the years 1907-1922, with small gaps particularly in the earlier years. Made by His Majesty's Justices of the Peace, and signed by Clerk of the Peace, Thomas Dixon, these schedules contain a record of convictions made in Bruce County. Each row contains the following information - Name of the prosecutor, - Name of the defendant, - Nature of the charge, - Date of conviction, - Name of convicting Justice, - Penalty fine or damage, - Magistrates fees, - Constables fees, - Witness fees, - Time when to be paid to said Justice, - To whom paid by said Justices and when, - Under what authority statute or by-law, and - If not paid, why not and general observations. |
