"Lake Log Chips" is a series of newsletters published by the Northwest Ohio - Great Lakes Research Centre at Bowling Green State University. They consist of notes and transcripts of news clippings containing then current news of the shipping industry on the Great Lakes concerning ships, organizations commodities, and companies, both American and Canadian. Volume 1 consists of 48 newsletters, running from March 13, 1972 to April 12, 1973 (cerlock bound). Volume 2 consists of 37 issues from April 19, 1973 to December 27, 1973. |

"Lake Log Chips" was published by Bowling Green State University on nearly a weekly basis. In 1979, they began publishing an annual review of the lake navigation season for 1978. |
