Corporal Adams volunteered to join the Canadian Army in June 1940 at 18, enlisting in the Grey and Simcoe Foresters. He was shot and wounded in action on August 14, 1944. After his discharge he returned to Tobermory with his bride in 1946. He served as Lighthouse Keeper at various lighthouses of the Bruce Peninsula until retirement. |
