Joseph purchased the Saugeen Foundry in 1875, (which then became known as Hampson's Foundry) located at 10 Yonge St. N., Walkerton. Joseph's son Al eventually joined the business. They manufactured high quality plows, root slicers, scufflers, land rollers and iron school desks. Grandson Bill Hampson was the next generation to run the business. |
