William James Johnston was a bank clerk at the time of his First World War enlistment in Pembroke, January 18, 1916. He served during the First World War for four years. After the war, he worked in a bank in Paisley, Ontario, and was transferred to various banks before his final transfer to Elmira. In Elmira, he bought a car dealership which he owned and operated until his retirement. |
