John Marshall "Jack" Knowles was born on June 13, 1925 in Dundas, Ontario. During World War II, Jack served with the 1st. Canadian Paratroop Battalion in the United Kingdom. He enlisted in April of 1944 and was discharged in September of 1946. Jack was a resident of Red Bay and he was a longstanding member of the Lion's Head Legion Branch 202 for a period of seven decades. Jack passed away on April 13, 2016 at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound. |
