With her husband, Myrtle operated a boat business in Wiarton starting in 1929. She made the necessary renovations to their home, 756 Bay St., Wiarton, to take in boarders and eventually tourists. Their home became known as The Anchor Inn due to the old anchor resting outside the house as an ornament. Myrtle as a member of Unity Rebekah Lodge and St. Palul's Presbyterian Church. |
