His parents emigrated to Canada from Scotland in the early 1850s, settling in Puslinch Township, Wellington County. Murdock came to Bruce Township as a young man. He married "local girl" Isabella Campbell and they raised a family in Glammis. The McKay family is buried in Purdy Cemetery. |
