He enlisted in the Army on Dec. 24, 1915 with the 160th Battalion. He was a bugler in the 32nd Infantry. After training in London, Ontario, he embarked from Halifax aboard Metagama and landed in England Oct. 28, 1916. He was wounded and sent back to England shortly before World War I ended and was discharged Jan. 22, 1919. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and the Royal Canadian Legion in Tara for 35 years. |
