Dr. James Alexander Scarrow received a doctorate in Science at Western University. He had originally taught school for a brief period of time. Alex served as a Bio-Chemist and during the Second World War, he spent several years in Brazil. At that time, he was associated with the scientific production of penicillin. In 1958, Alex moved to Southampton where for 10 years he operated a photography business. Alex and his wife, Alice returned to Guelph in 1968. He was a member of the United Church. |
