Charles was a lawyer for 75 years starting in 1884 in Tara. For many years, he was the oldest practising lawyer in Canada. Charles was involved in politics as he was President and Secretary of the Bruce Conservative Association and on the Tara village council. Charles was an honourary member of the Owen Sound Golf and Country Club and of the Masonic Lodge. Life-long member of the Anglican Church. |
