Attended public school near Kingarf and highschool in Kincardine, Bruce County, Ontario. He took courses at University of Toronto and Wycliffe College studying the arts and theology. He also took courses in dentistry, obstetrics, and minor surgery in preparation for his position as a missionary in the Arctic. |

Isaac Stringer was ordained on May 15, 1892 and assumed a position as missionary to the Arctic. In 1905, Rev. Stringer was named Bishop of Rupert's Land (later Yukon). By spring 1909, he also became head of the Mackenzie River Diocese in addition to his duties in the Yukon Diocese. He became Archbishop of Rupert's Land in 1931. |
