Appointed by Ontario government for Provincial Constable and License Inspector until age of 70 when he retired. |

Came with his parents to the County of Bruce in 1855 when he was 9 months old. Parents settled in the Township of Brant. At 9 y/o, the family moved to Amabel Township. Moved to Walkerton w/ wife Eliza in 1898. |
