Photograph featuring four rows of men in First World War military uniform. Believed to be one of the Platoons of the 160th Battalion at either Witley Bramshott camps. Two men in the front row centre are holding canes; one man on the far right is holding a snare drum. The third man from the right in the back row is marked with an "x". Handwritten in pencil on reverse: "This was taken with the full platoon but the white stroke across spoiled it, and they had another taken, but there 8 of us out of the second, so to send this one as it is the best." |
