Negative photographs featuring the U.A.W. (United Auto Workers) camp, held June 17-21, 1963. A2013.012.06333: A group of men, sitting at tables or standing in front of windows, listening to a man standing at a lectern. There are ash trays, cigarette packages and note pads on the tables. A2013.012.06334: A group of men and one woman, sitting at a large picnic table; there are pens and papers on the table. There are three men standing to the rear of the table and trees visible in the background. A2013.012.06335: Picture of five men and two women seated at a table. There are pens, papers, ash trays and cigarette packages on the desk. A man is standing to the rear of the picture in front of a blackboard. A2013.012.06336: A large group of men and one woman seated at a row of tables in a classroom. In the rear of the picture a man is seen standing behind a lectern. There are posters on the wall behind the students. A2013.012.06337: A group picture of the attendees to the U.A.W. camp. The picture was taken outdoors. The people are either standing or sitting on the lawn and there are large trees in the background. |

These negatives were part of a collection of over 20,000 images captured by teacher and photographer J. Lindsay Thornburn from 1950-1983. They were originally housed in an envelope with handwritten title "U.A.W. Camp, June 17-21, 1963" which was in a container bearing a date of 1963. |
